- Postmenopause is the time in a woman's life after the menopause.
- For natural menopause, it is not clear that a woman is postmenopausal until 12 months after her final period, when the diagnosis of menopause can be made.
- During the postmenopause symptoms may begin, continue, fluctuate or cease.
