OTHER CAUSES MIGHT INCLUDE:

  • Vulval dermatoses such as lichen planus, lichen sclerosus, vulval dermatitis or vulval psoriasis.
  • Vulval intraepithelial neoplasia or cancer.
  • Cervical pathology.
  • Skin changes following radiotherapy.
  • Trauma.
  • Inflammation secondary to an irritant.
  • Female genital mutilation.
  • Neuralgia.
  • Sexually transmitted infection.
  • Thrush.
  • Bacterial vaginosis.
