- It is estimated that approximately 20% of women experience symptoms for up to 15 years.
- Genitourinary symptoms of the menopause (GSM) are reported to be experienced by approximately 50% of postmenopausal women. Unlike other symptoms, genitourinary symptoms are progressive and do not improve with time. Unfortunately it is estimated that approximately 75% of women with the clinical manifestations of GSM do not seek help.
